Rachel Fawcett, CCHLT Executive Director, as she speaks to the State College Rotary Club members

On January 27, I was privileged to speak at the State College Rotary Club meeting at the Nittany Lion Inn. Even with the harsh winter weather, members still came out for the meeting.

I spoke about the need for permanently affordable homes for low- to moderate-income people and what CCHLT currently does to help meet this need. We also spent some time discussing how homeowners and our community benefit from families in homes stewarded by CCHLT. Lastly, I spoke about our vision for the next three years and how Rotarians could get involved to make plans and dreams become a reality.

Members had the opportunity to ask additional questions after the presentation. Kindly, Bonnie Abrams, State College Rotary Club president, presented me with an honorary certificate for speaking, a drawing of Old Main, The Rotarian magazine, and an invitation to join their membership.

Thank you to the State College Rotary Club for being a thoughtful audience, inviting me to speak at their meeting, and the delicious dinner. I look forward to sharing with all of you again in the future.

If your organization, business, faith group, etc. is interested in learning more about permanently affordable homeownership opportunities and CCHLT or you know of a group that may be interested, please contact me, Rachel Fawcett, at director@cchlt.org or (814) 571-1179 to schedule a speaking engagement.
