Centre County Housing and Land Trust Board of Directors and staff sold a total of 92 sandwiches! Thank you for helping us to exceed our goal of selling 90 sandwiches. On October 6, Tim Schoonover (President), Brodie Dalton (Vice-President), Dave Richards (Treasurer), and myself served with State College Rotary Club members to prepare the meals for dinner at Our Lady of Victory.
The meals consisted of a sandwich, cookie, pickle, condiments, carrots, chips, and a mint. Between CCHLT and the Rotary, we had two production lines: one for turkey sandwiches and one for beef sandwiches. CCHLT representatives served on the turkey line and enjoyed varying our production line style to be as efficient and quick as possible while still being accurate with the meals.
Thank you to the State College Rotary for including CCHLT in their 41st Annual Sandwich Sale! The Rotary Sandwich Sale directly benefits organizations like CCHLT, Centre LifeLink EMS, Strawberry Fields, and other local charities. Earlier this year, Rachel, our ED, was given the opportunity to present to the State College Rotary’s weekly dinner meeting at the Nittany Lion Inn. You can read more about that presentation. The State College Rotary’s theme for 2015-16 is to “be a gift to the world”. They live out this goal by serving in our community and financially supporting the organizations that make Centre County a great place to live.
If you missed the sandwich sale, you can always support CCHLT online or by mail. To make a gift to CCHLT, click the “Donate” button below or click here.
